Who We Are

Breath of Heaven Children’s Home and Education Centre (BOHCHEC) is dedicated to providing a loving and caring family environment for vulnerable children aged 5 to 18 years to live within and call home. Based in Kakamega County, Western Kenya, we are determined to provide shelter, education, psychosocial support, care for children orphaned as a result of HIV & AIDS and the post election skirmishes that rocked the nation of Kenya in 2007. We envisage to give life skills to this vulnerable children in a healthy, stable and safe environment. Currently we have 50 children and counting, from different parts of the country, a representation of the face of Kenya.

Location

Breath of Heaven Children’s Home and Education Centre is situated in Kakamega County, Lurambi Constituency of Shikoti Ward. The home itself is about 6KM from Kakamega Town, off Kakamega-Webuye Road (Kakamega-Kisumu Road from Kakamega Town Hall), on the left of Lurambi Market from Kakamega Town. It’s about 3.7KM from the main road mentioned above.
